I built this the other day, it's the rear end of a ladder rack (the front being the headache rack! )Now when I have the money for an extension ladder, I'll be able to put her to use! I havn't capped the ends of the tubing yet, but I will later on in the future. I priced these out online, and I couldn't see myself spending 200 bucks on something I could build for less than half the cost! Pics!
Reply:Can't see the whole thing in the first pic. Maybe resize the pictures with Microsoft PictureManager? It will make it easier to see & fit on the screen. The second pic looks good though.MarkI haven't always been a nurse........Craftsman 12"x36" LatheEnco G-30B MillHobart Handler 175Lincoln WeldandPower 225 AC/DC G-7 CV/CCAdd a Foot Pedal to a Harbor Freight Chicago Electric 165A DC TIG PapaLion's Gate Build
Reply:DOH! Aight, they should be a more civilized size now!I was thinking about this after the fact, but when I get a chance, I'll probably build onto the right (left in the picture!) side of the headache rack and add an outrigger I guess? I'm not sure how to explain it!Last edited by mb_welder; 04-07-2009 at 12:37 AM.
Reply:What is the finish you used. It looks good without shine"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:I can't recall the brand off the top of my head, but it was a fast dry Flat black rust paint. My favorite finish! I was thinking about it today, I also want to gusset the angle iron braces.Last edited by mb_welder; 04-08-2009 at 07:53 PM.
