Pretty simple, overlaps all the way around for clamping, 3/8 plate top, reciever holds grinder , multiple vises, and other implements. Inside I secure the more expensive stuff like the LN-25, Pora band, and Mag Drill. On casters but she weighs in pretty heavy. If they steal it , they will have earned it. Reply:Nice box! (no double entendre meant.)No seriously, that almost looks like one of the old JOBOXes witha new lid.
Reply:the way I work everything in the box except for one tool would be on the top within 2 hours.  At 2:05 I'd need the one tool left inside the box and dump the whole mess on the ground behind the box!!What's the mini-hoe bucket in the background fit on?
Reply:Nice idea on the box table top and receiver hitch vise. What is the white Husky thing in the background?

Reply:I will warn you that I have seen where the sides of the boxes have been hacked open and the tools inside stolen.  seen it twice, both times in fairly dense residential areas.    Their not as secure as you would think.Just keep that in mind.   I HATE a thief.Vantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches.

Reply:Answers are the bucket is for my back hoe on my skidsteer, I have two, 12 " and 18". The Husky is a folding multi height aluminum staging platform for working from about 2 feet to 4 feet off the floor. I use them for saw horses and a place to put all those tools from the box before I put a project on the fab table. I can't stand my tools layed all over the area I'm fabbing on. As for the theft advice, we are all familiar with metal and how to get trough it. My father always said locks are for friends and to keep honest people honest. Real thieves will always steal. I have a policy, You steal out of my garage I will be upset, but I have insurance, You break in my house you will find my wallet and money, car keys in the kitchen right inside the door, whatever you get is fine I don't have to deal with the agrivation. That being said, If you step 1 foot onto the stairs to where we sleep You Will Loose Your Life , No Questions, and No Regrets. If the dog don't get ya, I will get you, If I don't get you, My 2 sons will get you. Any one hate me for that?"Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum"Lincoln Idealarc 250 AC/DCMillermatic 251   Syncrowave 300   30A spoolgunLincoln MP210Hypertherm 45(2) LN 25(2) Lincoln Weldanpower 225 CV(4) SA200   1 short hood    SA250    SAM 400

Reply:I like the thought there. I have one of those type boxes and just keep small peices of metal in it. I think I am going to find another place to keep my metal and run with your idea if ya don't mind.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]weekend metal melter and all around pain
Reply:Nice bench setup, Its nice that you have a skid loader to move it around, it looks very heavy. Also I agree w/your home protection philosophy.

Reply:Sorry about your mother in law, unfortunately and sorry to say it is more common to have a friend or family member victimizes by violent crime these days. Law enforcement is good , but when it comes to personal safety let's face it , we are on our own in those first few moments. The "Fair Fignt' is and obsolete concept. I carried when I was younger because it was cool, mind you I wasn't loud about it, always low profile, them it just went away like a fad. I now am back to it, I realize I am not as young as I use to be, and with multiple predators that are prepared to really do some bad things you need to. I just look at it like another tool. like a pocket knife, or leatherman. That's how I explain it to family members. I will add that I have always had a state permit and do it legally. I wonder how many of these mass shootings could have been ended had one of the victims been armed."Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum"Lincoln Idealarc 250 AC/DCMillermatic 251   Syncrowave 300   30A spoolgunLincoln MP210Hypertherm 45(2) LN 25(2) Lincoln Weldanpower 225 CV(4) SA200   1 short hood    SA250    SAM 400

Reply:Seems like alot of interest in the Husky benches. I was in the Home Depot 1 day and they had them on the end cap with a yellow close out sign , They were the only two so I bought them for $100 bucks for the pair. They have a built in ladder, are all aluminum and fold up just like and Ironing board, That is why I refer to them as Ironing boards.( seems logical to me) Also will support 2 men easily as work platform about 14 inch by 52 inch. They even have a detachable safety rail for 1 side . They ajust in height from 2 feet to about 4 feet. I have never seen anyone else with them , or for sale anywhere else. Probably on Husky site if they have one."Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum"Lincoln Idealarc 250 AC/DCMillermatic 251   Syncrowave 300   30A spoolgunLincoln MP210Hypertherm 45(2) LN 25(2) Lincoln Weldanpower 225 CV(4) SA200   1 short hood    SA250    SAM 400
