I just read this article:http://www.thefabricator.com/ArcWeld...cle.cfm?ID=671and it talks about making the "stack-o-dimes" look with 6010 type stick electrodes(i do this all the time with hard wire for steel and aluminum). now here is my question is i use a fast-freezing dual shield fcaw welding wire. has anyone ever tried this? and what are the pros and cons?
Reply:Thanks, I just printed that and will read it tonight. I don't think you can whip cored wire. stick out would not be consistant which would throw amps all over the place. Some might even escape DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:I read the article last night. I DO whip bare wire all the time (circular). I don't know about doing it with flux core. I have some and will try it later.David
