Just thought I'd give you guys some ideas for a pedestal grinder stand, I haven't seen one on here like this. I used an old flywheel for the base, an old support column for the stand and a huge piece of angle scrap that I got from a construction site for the mount. All total I have about $2.50 into it in bolts and will have a few more bucks in paint.Life is not a journey to the grave with intentions of arriving safely in a pretty well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming ... WOW! What a ride!
Reply:No paint needed - just take your angle grinder and a wire cup / wire wheel and shine 'er up ...... See, that just saved you a couple of bucks for paint!Nice work for a quicke job. My mechanic uses a vise mounted on a truck rim, very solid ....Last edited by SpyGuy; 04-23-2009 at 12:05 AM. |
