I'm going to be welding with .024 solid steel wire, but my M-100 gun has the standard .030/.035 liner in it. Is it necessary to install a .024 liner before I run .024 wire? Or can I just use the existing liner? The existing liner is in good shape. Thanks!KenMilermatic 211
Reply:Today I read on this very same forum that as long as the wire is of the same size or smaller than the wire liner, you should be ok.I hope that helps,Mikel

Reply:You guys that worry about the liner can keep paying for them, I have a 1/16" liner in both guns on my feeders and run from .030 to 1/16" with out a hitch.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ." |
