I stumbled across this site while looking for ideas. (Deleted by ...zap!)This guy answers (a few) welding question on his web page but not all of the answers are not quite what I would expect form a welder with 30 years experience.Q:  What type of welder should I get?Partial answer:if cost is your main problem than pick up an ark but if you are doing some serous welding then i would get one of the others.As for the voltage, look at the ratings for how much it can handle. it will usually say it can do a 1/4 inch or so.Q: what is the difference between mig and tig welding?Partial answer:Metal Inert Gas, a wire electrode constantly feeds and melts duing the welding.Tungsten Inert Gas. a tungsten electrode is used and does not melt (as much). Reply:Well, like everything else on the web, it's up to the individual to separate the wheat from the chaff. Reply:That's absolutely an ad generator.  If you can still edit your post delete the link but keep the discussion.Ignore anything that doesn't look INSTANTLY like a professional site, ignore anything with a bunch of Ebay links, and so forth.Besides the wording, the stupid flower indicates it's an autogenerated site.
