Reply:Ive been thinking about this lately, is there any reason people dont seem to make propane grills? Ive got the idea to make one out of s stainless keg I have, but am trying to figure out if there are any guidelines I have to go by as to how many BTU burner I need, or how it needs to be mounted.I dont want to make charcoal because the main use of this would be for quick burgers and dogs, and I dont want to have to wait for the coals to cherry.Have we all gone mad?
Reply:I have a couple of stainless kegs that I am going to use as well. What I came up with was to scour Craigslist and find a cheap propane bbq and use it for parts. To buy the burners new is cost prohibitive. Around here they appear on curbs with free signs or cheap on craigslist because people upgraded.I know you can make your own burners and there is a writeup on hobarts site, but not something I want to do at this point.Good Luck
