Gas Hose

I'm in the market for tig/mig gas hose it seems that the standard size is 1/4 ID but i've also read here http://www.netwelding.com/Why_Quarter_Inch_Hose.htm that 1/4 is unnecessary specifically for mig no mention of tig. I also see that length of the hose needs to be takin' into consideration. Does anybody recommend any certain brands that are considered to be better than others. thanks
Reply:I dedicated a new 1/4" or 3/8" (don't remember) Goodyear air hose from HF. I put regular Milton connectors on it. I did this because I have a suitcase wire feeder and I leave the cylinder in the cabinet. I don't know how long you need it."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! Reply:Yeah, total BS. If your pressure is spiking that much then you have a bad regulator. They just found a way to try and sell something.
