is this even possible? just bought alittle 135 to do some patch panels on my truck and my garage is only a single that can barely fit my truck let alone me on the side of it. is there anyway i can mig outside without worrying about all my gas blowing away?
Reply:It's doable sometimes. If the breeze isn't too strong you can use your hand, arm, body, ect to block some wind. Sometime a piece of plywood can be propped up to give a larger wind break.Tough as nails and damn near as smart

Reply:Yes that is one of the main reasons for flux core is you don't have to have a gas since there is flux in the wire to protect the weld from contamination. Gas can be used but is usually not necessary.Lincoln 225 RangerSa200 01 dodge 3500 welding rig
Reply:A sheet of wafer board cut in half and hinged .Set it up in a v shape so it stands alone.Blocks the arc from dumb viewers.Flux core is nasty and leaves a residue that will damage your paint job. |
