Had the day off, so I decided to build my rails I had planned for ever. Between honey-do"s and running errands, I only got one built. The photo of it on the truck is just a mock up. I still need to mount it to the plate, then drill the holes (or in reverse order of that!), prime and paint. And of course, build the other side.HF Dual-Mig 131 Flux-core at 50 amps (High +1)Lincoln Innershield flux-core .0351 1/2" square tube, 14ga1/4" plate Attached Images

Reply:I like it too....please post more pictures when you are mounting them to the bed.
Reply:I hope to get it finished tomorrow. At first I wasn't going to put the middle post in. But, leave it to the sensibility of a woman, she said that it would be easier to tie stuff down that SHE finds at the garage sales. I forgot to include measurements. It is 1 1/2" square tube, 35 1/2" at top, 43 1/2" at bottom, 2 1/2" from plate to bottom of rail.
Reply:Looks good, HeHe Tie down her stuff from garage sales. ha ha. Thats funny. She forgot to mention your toys. I see your from Mississippi, up north here we would have to drill weep holes in the bottom of that thing to prevent bursting from freeze ups. It seems no matter how good you weld a tube structure, water gets in and freezes and blows out the tubing. I hate the cold. Gonna look sweet when your done.Lincoln Ranger 8 Lincoln 175 Drill pressLincoln 225 mig Plasma 8 ft brake 52" jump shear |
