LOOKING TO ADD A FEW MORE MACHINES TO MY SHOP..ANY THOUGHTS ON THE ESAB MIG FOR ALUMINUM AND THE TIG MACHINES??? both in the 300 amp class. Thanks,J
Reply:CALM DOWN! WHEN YOU WRITE IN CAPS EVERYONE THINKS YOU ARE YELLING!That said I've got a Migmaster 251, optional spot/stitch/trigger lock plate, no spoolgun. Have been very happy with it on steel but haven't tried it with AL. I have an L-tec Heliarc 307i which I use almost exclusively for repairing aluminum canoes, L-tec was originally Linde and eventually bought by Esab. Both machines are very solid and I've been very happy with them, as well as my PCM-750 plasma.Esab branded mig guns are pretty expensive but use a standard "Euro" adapter which is much more common and cheaper. I put an Abicore Binzel torch on mine and love it.
