Hello everyone my name is Colby. Been into tig welding for 11 years. Would like to get into aerospace welding. Pratt and Whitney has a plant nearby and they're hiring tig welders. From they're listing it looks like they want people with tig experience and they will train you on the aerospace techniques. does anyone have any input on this company or aerospace welding in general. Just looking to get something more stable than current job.I attached some pics of type of work I do.ThanksColby Attached Images

Reply:Run, don't walk over there and fill out an application. That was the field I intially targeted when I was a punk.Pratt and Whitney just wrapped up the Space Shuttle engine program here and I know lots of people that worked on that program. Sad day when the announcement came but all good things end at some point. They do rocket, and jet propulsion, nuclear, electronics whatever, and are heavy into government work. If they want to train, you are in buddy.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.
