3pt hitch blade

Had a customer picked up this contraption for a steal, and brought it to me to "patch it up"  Well, I pretty much decided to just cut it down to the blade and start over.  Here are a few pics of the rebuild.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
Reply:All the work so far has been done with the hypertherm 30, and the Lincoln Powermig 255 with .035 solid wire using 75/25.  Flat welds are done at 21V 320 wire speed.  Verticals were done at 18V 240 wire speed.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......

Reply:Naaa, just one welder in the scrap pile.  It was an old weld pak 100.  It some how fried itself.  I scavaged what good parts i could for the other one that I have, and that's what remains.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......

Reply:im jealous of the forklift. im stuck i with a side to side overhead hoist, real nice for in the shop, but thats about it. those welds look very nice.i rebuilt my dads awhile back, close to what you did but i was able to keep the original center portion. i accidently ran the blade into a chunk of concrete and bent it right on the column.unfortunatly i didnt think about the blade bowing when i welded the new mount and column, i was welding 1/4" 2" tubing for the mount, and used 1/4" wall pipe for the new column. added some 3" around the side so that the column was no longer the weakest part of the blade.i also replaced the 2 side supports and top support to the 3 point, replaced the 1/8" 1.5"OD steel pipe with some 1/4" 2" tubing, same as the blade mount. if it was cheaper id building everything out of sqare tubing, have yet to have problems with it.i was going to put a hydraulic ram on it to control the angle, but ill put that on the next one, start from the ground up.I break things for a living...
