Reply:There's no single answer for that. It starts with, "what can you afford?"."The things that will destroy America are prosperity at any price, peace at any price, safety first instead of duty first, the love of soft living and the get rich quick theory of life." -Theodore Roosevelt
Reply:First check with you local weld supply, Stoody, Allstate, Eutectic, WeldMold etc. etc all have product. If there are carbides in the mix Kennametal is pretty much the leader, below is a page from a mining brocure. You have to talk to them about using "Prime arc" electrodes though as they no longer put out specific sales data on their stuff.Matt Attached Images
Reply:what kind of bits you running? dth hammer, carbide roller cone, mill tooth roller cone, drag bit, or cable tool hubbard style? you said rock Im guessing dth. They have regrinders for those bits if the carbides are not broken off but its usually its quicker and more cost effective to just replace.Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
Reply:for core drills, deep rock drilling co sells a product that is powdered brazing material, flux, and crushed carbide. it's fairly easy to recondition the core bits.miller thunderbolt 250vlincoln square wave tig 175 prolincoln idealarc mig sp250everlast tig 210EXTeverlast power plasma 50chicago electric (hf) 130 tig/90 arcchicago electric 90 amp flux wire3 sets oxy/acet |
