What are the amp range differences for a 5/32" 6011 rod versus that of a 1/8" rod? I picked up some 5/32" today, and I have never run any on my stick welder. Thanks!
Reply:You'll need to set your machine about 20 to 30 amps more for 5/32 than you would for 1/8 . it's always a trial & see for each machine & weldor .[SIZE="5"Yardbird"
Reply:1/8" 6011 amp range is @ 65-120 DC+ & 75-130 A/C5/32" 6011 amp range is @ 90-145 DC+ & 100-155 A/CThis may vary a little up or down. But should be close.
Reply:I run my 5/32 6010/6011 at about 100-120, same as a 1/8" 7018. On the old Lincoln with no numbers left, it is 3rd gear and about 1/2 on the fine adjust.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."
