Hi to allkind of new on here been a member for some time, but never posted before.anyways I have a small (I hope) problem with my new welder. it's a inverter mig trouble is when running 0.6mm wire it seems to arc in the nozzel, then bind on the drive and kink. when running 0.8 wire I have no trouble at all. The Rep I have talked to seems to think the trouble is me or my settings, but I don't think so. have tryed lots of tricks bigger tip etc. still no joy.can anybody help.
Reply:with out more information, it sounds like to much voltage or not enought wire feed speed, can you give more information, John
Reply:.6 wire = .024 in my country. You need a lot more wire feed speed to make an arc with the same voltage.DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:all sort now thanks. turn out to be a short or someting wrong in the handpiece, swapped it for an old one at work just to see and away she went. so got replacement for dealer today. now it welds real sweat. cheerschris |
