I am completely rebuilding a f162 and I read that there is a rope seal conversion for the rear seal. Does away with the rope seal and uses a new style rubber seal. Does anyone know where I would be able to find one. I haven't found anything online.
Reply:continentalengineparts.nettel # 713-864-7084rear crank oil seal 381261front crank oil seal 381321I have not yet rebuilt one of these, several others I have done the rubber seal was a direct replacement for the rope style, both were still available. the advantage of the rope one is that it can be pulled in place by just dropping pan then just taking off one main cap. The rubber one has to have a little more clearance to insert.
