how do i weld stainless steel? i know i need stainless steel rod, but what about the torch settings.

Reply:my torch is a victor with a number 0, 3, and 5 tips. i dont know the thickness exactly but its going to be for a muffler so its not going to be really thick.
Reply:you'll need flux to weld stainless with oxy-fuel (pay careful attention to the health and safety instructions with stainless flux)metal thickness will determine nozzle/tip sizenozzle size will determine regulator pressure settingsstainless distorts far more easily than mild steel but is welded with the same technique although the flame should be set to slightly acetyline rich
