Welding cast heads on with 9018M

I am going to be welding some heads onto 3/16" thick 4" box tube. For the battering rams I making. I don't know the exact ingredients yet but supposedly it is cast steel with some moly in it. It requires preheat. I will get the temperature soon. Anyways, does anyone have an idea for preheating say 5-10 heads at a time so I can weld all the heads on at once? Thanks. Dave
Reply:I'd just lay them out on some firebrick and use a Propane/Oxygen torch with a rosebud tip..Lots'o'heat really fast.. ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Never under estimate the power and precision of the kitchen oven. Find out what temp they need to be and there you go. You can go to an estate sale and get a cheep one to use for baking rods, heating for a press fit and pre heating to weld including for aluminum. Steel Thunder Welding LLC.
