Reply:other than the hypnotic joy you are getting from burning rod, which i am known to do for hours, i think you are ready to stop plate practice and work on fillets and lap joints. it will mean more practice metal to cut clean and bevel.

Reply:Anybody who looks at this post and thinks,"you never run 7018 downhill" or, "running 7018 downhill is easy". they should try running a pad of beads on a weakened medium wall thickness boiler tube in the vertical position, with out popping a hole. Not easy. Good job Vlima, now you should concentrate on open bevel joint welds, using the flash freezing rods, 6010 or 6011. Once you get a hand on how to manipulate the flash freezing rod everything else will seem like child's play.all I want in my life are....... white castle cheese burgers
Reply:One of my favorite operations is putting in the root with 6010 on pipe. However I have never heard the phrase flash freezing rod. What are you refering to
