Finding nation wide work?

I have been running a small fab business in a very small town without a large near by town. I would like to expand and find work/contracts with companies nationwide. How do those of you who do work nationwide find work? I have signed up on RFQWork.com, but there just does not seem to be much activity there. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Reply:This is like living in the desert and wanting to grow hay field to make a living. It is difficult but not impossible. Getting contracts for these type of companies will expect from you emergency job, sometimes that will require you to have a very quick pick up and delivery system. Meaning you have to have all materials required in a very quick time.
