are harris-calorific regulators worth getting rebuilt?

im picked up a used oxy welding set and had the torches rebuilt as the guy at the local welding shop said they were very good and worth fixing. however i noticed that needle on low pressure dial of the oxygen reg is stuck at 20 psi. the regulators ( oxygen and acetylene) are both harris-calorific the only model info i can find on them are model # 1-15 acetylene and model# 1-100. they both also say 650L. im not sure what this all means and havent been able to find out much about them . im wondering if they are worth getting rebuilt or if i should just buy new regs.  they are off of a small set. Reply:Might just need a new LP O2 gauge. Be very careful if you choose to do this yourself. You want to be sure not to get anything inside the O2 reg, especially oil. Do not use pipe dope on the threads. They make O2 compatible tef tape, your LWS probably can get it for you if need be. Use it sparingly and make sure you keep it back off the 1st thread so you don't get any small pieces inside the reg.Most small low end regs usually aren't worth rebuilding when the internals go. It will cost you about as much to rebuild them as it will to replace them with a similar reg. You might contact these guys and see what they want for a rebuild.
