Good day to everyone!! I have registered to this site in hopes that I will get some valuable information. Two months ago, I lost my father-in-law to a heart attack (85) and unfortunately he was using his torch at the time and his shop burned up with him in it. His bug welder was also in it and the leads wrapped around the handles burned and melted the toggle switches above the starter button. I know one of the toggle switches (outboard) is the kill switch. The "inboard" switch is a six-pole switch that I have no idea what is/does. The faceplate across the front melted (aluminum) on that side so I can't read what it was for. If there is anyone that can give me part numbers, availability, etc. of these switches, I would DEEPLY appreciate it as I have not tried to start it up without knowledge of whether or not the switches melted inside or not. Visibly just the flipper has melted. I hated to drag this out so long. Here is the info on the "bug"Model WNP-200 ESI 6.0CCK-331E/4325LSerial 0170190647

Reply:The numbers you posted are for the Onan CCK engine and if I didn't know any better I'd say The Bug is a rebadged Hobat but can't find anything to back that up.Sorry to hear about your father-in-law.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!

Reply:That would explain why I could find anything indicating it is a rebadged Hobart or ???. MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:I would call P&H, We have a local branch due to all the mining operations in our area. Really cool seeing some of the equipment they bring in. I know one of the upper brass pretty well, went to school with his daughter. They should be able to help you out provided you find the right person.I would look for part numbers on the engine and housing and hope to find a manual somewhere. These older machines are like the model T. If a part can be found that does the same thing then there is a way to make it work, It might not look factory but it will do the job as well or better than the original.
Reply:Hello again!! I really appreciate all the views/replies on this and may have to contact P & H. During this last week, I got turned on to a local repair man that actually has one of these and I will be taking it to him tomorrow to check it out. Never would have dreamed it would be this easy! I really do appreciate all the help and time everyone took to view and respond.
Reply:Were you ever able to come up with a manual? I too am looking for a manual/info on this type of machine. any help would be greatly appreciated. |
