OK so here is what I would like to do, I have a ln25 setup for fluxcore and would like to convert it to hardwire. Seems I can get a Tweco gun and cable set 400a for about 160 bucks local which should plug straight into the ln25. I have a guage so all I should need extra is the gas line. Is there any signifigant diff between say Bernard, Lincoln, Tweco and the other brands out there? I dont do heavy stuff so .035 I should think would be fine. Feed rollers of course in the box... Been searching craigys and ebay and havent found a decent deal on a stand alone feeder yet, tho one will popup as soon as I buy parts for the ln25.
Reply:Does your LN-25 have a gas valve?DavidReal world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:Yep, ln25 has contacter and gas valve. Rollers will have to be changed as I am using 5/64 mp211 in the box now....

Reply:I've never used a Bernard, but as far as I can tell the Tweco and Lincoln are equals with both being very good. I really suspect that Tweco makes Lincolns guns as they share consumables. Thermalarc comes with Tweco guns, but they both belong to the same parent company. I've used a lot of mig guns over the years (mostly tweco) and never replaced one until I got the LN-25. Not the fault of the gun, but abuse. The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.
