Hello All, I have a lincoln precision tig 175 and i thought about making an remote amperage control for stick welding. I would mount a potieonometer in a box and then connect it to where the tig pedal plugs in with a length of wire. Then when i weld i would have to flip the swith to tig whit this i would have the control and be able to adjust the amperage where i am working. I was wondering if anyone could see a reason that this would be a bad idea.
