What's your take on them? I see a lot of people use them and I have read that they are thinner and easier to work with. Do they get hot easier?ideally I want a set of nice tig gloves that are long like 18" long, white/brown color. Can't seem to find anything to fit the bill. I prefer the long gloves so I can keep a tshirt on and not wear a heavy overshirt or hoody.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
Reply:I like them. The only thing for me is that their Med is a little small and the large is a little big. I have the 24C which is the common length version of kidskin. They are great for the price. They are thin so if you welding hot, you may want to go heavier on the torch hand.Hobart Handler 210 with SpoolgunHypertherm PM30 PlasmaHTP 221 Tig WelderHF BandsawHF Auto Dark Helmet

Reply:http://www.weldfabulous.com/p-64345-...ves-large.aspxI use the Tillman 24C for mig, and the slightly heavier Tillman 42 for mig. If I'm helping out with both mig and tig at the tech school I just stick with the Tillman 42's. I get enough dexterity from them to do tig, yet better heat protection for mig.http://www.toughweld.com/products/43...kin-mig-gloves.No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Tillman 750 series is all we use. Thin at finger tip, thick on back. Stupid comfortable too. We use new gloves for alum, and older ones for steel. You can wash them too.We do a little mig also, and keep the dead 750s for that. Every one of my tiggers have 3 to 4 pairs of them.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.

Reply:I find them to be a little "sticky" when I try to slide my hand down a part while welding so I slip a cotton glove over my torch hand Tillman. Two turn tables and a microphone.
Reply:Gamble - rather than the long gloves, have you thought about a pair of the slip on sleeves? I've been using those with a good t-shirt for years.

Reply:I love the tillman tig glove on my filler feed hand and an oveglove on my torch hand. it may look and sound funny, maybe stupid even, yeah I know, but it is an awesome combo, the oveglove is made from kevlar and nomex, it's like a tig finger for your whole torch hand.miller 330a bp TIGmiller dynasty 200DX TIGmillermatic 185 MIGthermal dynamics cutmaster 101 plasma cuttersnap-on YA5550 plasma cutterhypertherm powermax 30 plasma cutterbaileigh CS225 cold sawetc....

Reply:I believe Tillman only offers two 18" Glove Models:The 810-18, and the 1050-18.Neither are really a traditional TIG Glove.Black Stallion has released the BS99, but that is a stick glove as well.Their new Black and Tan Series seems pretty cool and uses a leather extender sleeve to increase the length of cuff on their gloves. Something to at least check out.Black Stallion BT88 TIG GloveBlack Stallion Leather Glove ExtenderHope that [email protected] |
