My next big weld

Ive got a big weld coming up,should be within next 2 months.2-60" concrete pressure pipes {steel lined and then diapered and grouted on the outside.375 psi test on it,150 psi working pressure.It is coming out of the bottom of a new pump station we are building and connects to 18 miles of 60" force main.It is 57' deep in the ground and we hit major groundwater at 15'.Should be interesting.

Reply:how thick is the steel pipe wall? what procedure?
Reply:3/8" wall steel.Stick-6010 root ,7018 cap.
Reply:Yes i will try to post pics.The guys welding the force main are using wire feeders with flux core with gas.Havent had a chance to talk to them yet.Anybody know anything about that procedure?Is that dual shield?
Reply:Yup, dual shield.  I just got to work with it a little today, you can sure lay down alot of hot metal really fast.Have we all gone mad?
