In between welding beads on Sat it just stopped welding, it acts like it would if the ground cable wasnt attached. It sparks to start, but wont weld.Everything works fine, except actually the welding arc, I tried DCEN, DCEP, AC, all are the same. I tried just stick mode, and it still wont arc.I tried two different amptrols (hand and foot pedal), and both act the same. They trigger gas flow, and the high freq, but wont weld.-High freq arc works. I checked the spark gap and it was fine and in spec-Gas solenoid works-Fan works-Voltage inside machine at supply is 120V per leg to gnd and 240V across legs.-Ground cable looks ok, and reads continuous from clamp to machine.-Nothing inside looks damaged or burnedAnyone have any ideas what to check?
Reply:I doublechecked everything with a flashlight and found a Transformer lead burned out where it meets the polarity switch. Re-terminated it, and i'm back in business.
