In class on Friday I had some free time so I was messing around with the Lincoln PowerMig we have in the shop set up for aluminum. I just thought I'd share some pictures with the board.Pass number two on the three bead side didn't turn out as well as i would have liked because I was shooting the moon with the instructor and let the piece cool too much. But that weld put the heat back in and the last pass came out looking fantastic.I'm sorry the pictures aren't very good. I'm not good at using my camera for close-ups and I've got really bad lighting in here.Any questions/ comments are welcome, enjoy! Attached Images
Reply:Your welds look a little cold at the start of both runs, otherwise nice. Toes are not wet in.Turn it up a little or use the hot start function ( if it has one ) |
