Best helmet cost is a non issue

I am ready to buy the best helmet that fits my needs.  I love the way the puddle looks on Jodys videos welding tips and trick.  I thought I might get the Jackson but people are talking about things being orange and brown etc.  I love the Jaskson funtions opinions please
Reply:I use a 1989 Jackson flip down with a #12 GOLD lenz..(Thanks Tozzi!)I could care less about self darkening ones......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:I have switched over to the 12# Gold and it made a huge difference now I would like to have the same but with torch grind mode auto dark.  Its hard to get good reviews.

Reply:I have Miller Elite and love it.I have Lincoln Vista and don't like it.  Its much heavier.Both just cost a little over $300.00Real world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:I used HF auto dark for years.  Bought a Miller digital elite last year and could kick myself for not doing it sooner.

Reply:Auto helmets are ok when you need to move around a project out doors, but they fatigue my eyes a lot more than a gold lens ever will...I have a few, but this is my favorite for MIG & stick.  My Respirator actually fits underneath.It's the helmet that I learned with back in 1988'This is my TIG helmet.  Nice & lightBuy American, or don't whine when you end up on the bread line.

Reply:the clincher for me was the improved headgear on the 9100X that I have.  it's often not mentioned much in these helmet threads, but to me, that was the feature that sold me on the speedglass over anything else.  their warranty is also very good; i had my original lens crack (no idea how) and they had a new one to me in 3 days to the LWS.
