Has anybody put much time on the new XMT 350 yet ? I have been thinkin about usin them for a power source for Miller 70 series wire feeders and TIG work. I have heard rumors that they don't run as smooth as the old XMT 304. I want to set up several for production work and I'd like to know how they work before I start spendin money. Any comments on them would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.
Reply:I probably set half a dozen systems up last year with the XMT 350's and I've had no complaints. Most were for MIG with 60 & 70 series feeders. I do prefer the Maxtar 350 for TIG.
Reply:I'm loving the Dynasty 300DX for Tig, great stability at low power and great for aluminum. As my Snychrowave 350 LX's wear out, that's what I'm replacing with.I r 2 a perfessional
Reply:Dito on the dynesty's...my shop now has 5 of them..we have several xmt's aswell...AND as our syncrowaves die...the Dynesty's have been replacing them!Jonesy
Reply:Not meaning to hijack the thread, just a question:Chris Welds, is that a Jetline Seamer in your picture? It looks like the one I have.I r 2 a perfessional

Reply:Dr. CI'm thinking of doing the same thing, using an XMT 350 to run my 24A feeder. I'm looking for a shop machine to do the major work in the shop. I like the fact that it has an arc control.
Reply:Now ya'll have me slobberin' over the thought of anything in a shop machine that welds better than my 304.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist. |
