I went to one of the school systems other shops today which use to house the county' s welding program, but now is a building construction class. Anyway, I was scavenging for leftover welding class stuff ( which was a goldmine I might add) and I ran across a 11 lb roll of .023 hardwire that was still sealed. I was wondering if they might make a contact tip and drive rolls for my Lincoln 140c. I have run .030 and .025 but In my inexperience have not run across .023.
Reply:.023, .024, and .025 are basically different names for the same thing. Use .025 tips and you'll be fine. The 140C will run that wire nicely with 75/25. Just make sure to use the correct drive rolls.JohnA few weldersA lot of hammersA whole lot of C-clamps

Reply:Not sure about your machine, but on my weldpak 100, I have to turn the drive roller around to accommodate the smaller .025, .023 wire. |
