Reply:I spend from 20 to 200 hrs.Earlier pieces were pure tig rod(stainless). It feels like drawing w/tig.But first I build my shape from rod or pounded out sht. mtl.,after which I overlay details ,like scales.Details go on like doing a build-up.

Reply:!!!!! HOLY COW!!!!! I do sculpture too, but nothing near as nice as yours. I suppose if I could get myself to spend 20 to 200 hours on one I could do that. I'm patient, but not THAT patient. I do like the feeling of "drawing" with tig. Haven't used stainless yet, just mild steel. Love the detail you put into every thing! How big are these things?

Reply:dragon(2` long) n rhino(1`long,over 20#) r largest.most could fit in a box from 8"x8"x8" to 12"x12"x12".Social anxiety n ocd help me focus.These projects r actually therapuetic.
Reply:dragon is a bit 2 big for a 2`x2`x2`box.doing scales drove me nuts.Each is an individual on body buildup.Rhino is approx. 1`long n +20 #.(and not finished) .Most pieces r 60-100 hrs.Currently working on 3 new pieces.
Reply:We're two peas in a pod grumpycricket. I'm borderline OCD, and have higher functioning autism (not related to actual autism, causes social anxiety problems). But I also have a bit of ADHD which is why I don't have the patients to commit as many hours to one project as you do. Again, beautiful work! I'm going to have to try a sea turtle.
