Here is something I am throwing together to house a few machines/components. There is an XMT350 CC/CV, Dynasty, S64M wire feeder, multi process selector switch and some other items. The *** end will have a pair of 340cf tanks. It is made from 1.25" DOM tube because I have a crapload of it. Bent it up with my JD2 bender.Hope these pics show. Taken with my phone.Granthttp://jackalopefab.com/ Attached ImagesLast edited by jackalope; 09-21-2009 at 09:11 AM.
Reply:Looks nice Grant. Nice shop also! How top heavy is that cart going to be?
Reply:I want to see that trailer thats over in the corner. It looks nice...If you cannot convince them, confuse them. Harry S Truman
Reply:I don't have any recent pics of the trailer, but there is one on my website http://jackalopefab.com/ go to the "equipment" section and click on the Bobcat. That pic is probably 2 or 3 yrs old. It is now outfitted with a SGA100C remote so I can run spoolgun off of it. There is also O/A tanks and CO2 for the MIG. On the front there is a diamond treadplate box for tools and some other odds and ends. There used to be a thread on Hobarts site some time back. I will try to track it down and then post the link here on edit.Granthttp://jackalopefab.com/MM210Synchrowave 200DXMiller XMT350 w/60series feederMiller Bobcat 250 with SGA 100 and spoolgunHTP PlasmaFull Machine shop with everything

Reply:Ponch, As for stability, it is very stable believe it or not. It takes a considerable effort to even get it to move side to side. It is more than 25" wide from side to side. Once there is a piece of plate across the bottom, it will be so heavy and low COG, it would take a plow to tip it over!Granthttp://jackalopefab.com/MM210Synchrowave 200DXMiller XMT350 w/60series feederMiller Bobcat 250 with SGA 100 and spoolgunHTP PlasmaFull Machine shop with everything

Reply:Here are some updated pics of progress. I worked on it for about an hour last night while waiting on a customer.I had some questions re: cantilever for tanks. You can barely tell in the blurry pics, but the plate the tanks sit on is about 1/4" off the floor. I ought to install a broom/brush in front of it as it will act as a plow! Reply:Hey I did a search on process selector switch and this came up. Does anyone know that if they all or only some have a solenoid in it? I want to use my xmt 304 cc/cv as a tig welder but don't want a valve on the torch. I found one online, I think this is the part number...p/n 042872also there is a link on the ad that goes right to miller with a full description http://www.millerwelds.com/om/o817e_mil.pdf Yet there is not one mention of a solenoid. Apparently I can have this one for $90 and according to the ad they go for $814. Seems wierd there would be such a price drop but I don't know much about these. Can anyone help? thanks |
