Almost done except for the nose & then off to be lettered & numbers put on!Sorry I didn't have any pics of the way I did everything, did this alone!! All of the white was from the old body, I just did the black. Attached ImagesFlashhttp://flashracecarbodies.com

Reply:Thanks Jim, mod looks sharp!!! I started doing bodies for all types of car just over a yr. ago. Basically do them by myself. Started this one yesterday at noon-6pm. Started again at 11am today & got done except for the nose at about 4:30pm.I try to do something a little different to each one so they are not a generic looking body. Basically what the customer wants & then add a little extra!Flashhttp://flashracecarbodies.com
Reply:Yeah nice to add custom touches. Kinda hard to do anything too major with the mods though with all the rules. What kind of car is that Flash some type of limited latemodel that you guys run out there?
Reply:Its called a Street stock here in Okla., more of a limited LM, its close! We have to run asphalt pull-offs for tires, can run race gas or methanol, no bigger than 368 cu. in. based on a 350 block, 3 link rear with panhard bar, brake bias, & the car has to weigh 2800 lbs. min.Thats the cool part on being to add my own different touches to the bodies, not everyone is the same!!Flashhttp://flashracecarbodies.com
Reply:That's cool. Sounds like the BRP latemodels up this way. This is mainly modified country here in the northeast. Although two tracks here just added the fasttrack latmodels, and it looks like they are going to Catch on quick. There's 3 classes of mode up here. Got the sportsman class that run a 350 GM crate engine, called the "602"engine, and smaller steel wheels. The other two classes are 358 small block class and the big blocks which are 467cubic in. They run wider tires and aluminum wheels. Nothing special with the rear suspension, got torque arms going forward from the center section with radius rods out by the wheels with a panhard off the right side. They run torsion bar read and coils up front. |
