Looking for a good pair of work boots. I like these for the fact the have the extra cover over the shoe laces.  Has anyone used these kind before.  http://www.steel-toe-shoes.com/Merch...-american-made
Reply:Yes I have used them, and they were horrible. When you squat down the tongue digs in right where your top of your foot almost meets the bottom of your shin and it feels like your wearing ski boots. You lose your balance easy. Youll be rocking back and forth trying to work on something. Go traditional and keep tying knots in your laces.I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
Reply:Traditional boots-Red Wing-replace the laces with leather ones after the first burn thru-no problem after that!  Bob

Reply:How about these.  http://workingperson.com/footwear-1/...364-99173.html
Reply:These are the best i have ever used or seen for the welding environment......hand vamp design, laces start above the pants cuff, internal met guard but it still maintains its flexibility and comfort (feels like wearing pull-ons but more snug, gobs of toe room. Read up on them, it is insane the amount of crap they put into this boothttp://workingperson.com/timberland-...524-69224.html
Reply:I wear red wing pull ons and really like them as said no laces to break. If you do go with lace up go with a all leather upper no nylon unless you like picking melted plastic off your foot. Leather laces work or saw a guy who made a laces sheild out of a piece of old welding jacket, looked silly but never saw him doing the ow ow ow danceMillermatic 252millermatic 175miller 300 Thunderboltlincoln ranger 250smith torcheslots of bfh'sIf it dont fit get a bigger hammer
Reply:I've always used Wolverine slip ons and have no problems what so ever. They cost $69.95 around here but they only last me about a year and a half. They are as light as tennis shoes and very comfortable right from the get go.
Reply:I can't give you a good brand or a model of boots because it could be useless im in Canada and we have probably don't have access to the same brands, but i suggest to choose the best and the most confortable even if they are not marked as ''welding boots'' and keep you old leather welding jacket or welding apron or wathever and cut 2 pieces (one for each boot) and make 2 holes and lace through the leather piece the way as you cover all your top of the boots and your lace, first time its look a bit wierd but your boots will last you double time!Calculator > Bevel Square
Reply:whatever has all the electrical protection stickers, and the full puncture resistance.other than that you really gotta try them on before you buy.
