I understand what the % duty cycle means (30% at160A =3 min out of 10 welding ability with out overheating). What does the @104 degrees mean. Will it be significantly different at 70 degrees?
Reply:Without seeing the phrase in context, it is hard to know.
Reply:I was looking at the specs on a machine and it gave the duty cycle 40% 125A, 22% 160A @104 degree. I done remember the exact numbers but the degree was 104 degree.
Reply:104 degrees would be the ambient temperature. My name's not Jim....
Reply:Would it be significantly different at a lower ambient temp like 70
Reply:Yes, your duty cycle will be greater at a lower temp. By how much???"Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
