I made this removable, but decided I needed an easier way to clamp things down. Nice to have this. It slides in the skids on the drill press table. Reply:Anybody else do something similar? I like to compare to see if there are ways to simplify things. For instance, I overcomplicated a mini press brake a while back, and will need to rebuild it. Since then, I have seen some great, simplified designs that are probably much more effective. Reply:Looks good.I have that same model Delta Drill press in my woodworking shop. I do not use the cross slide vise often on it so I just mounted the cross slide vise on a piece of plywood which I clamp the drill press table when I need it. The drill press in the garage is almost always used with a cross slide so I bolted that one directly to the t-slots in the drill press table.Larry "I feel for the man who cannot spell a word more than one way." by Mark TwainLincoln AC225-SLincoln Weldpac 100 Miller Matic 180 (auto set)Miller Spectrum 375 ExtremeMiller Spoolmate 100Victor Super Range II |
