I fried the Trailblazer today. It wouldn't start and had to jump it off the truck battery. It was running good but wouldn't rev when an arc was struck. Had a very heavy gate hanging from A frame on back of truck so had helper hold solinoid to rev the machine. After an inch of weld I could tell something wasn't right and stopped. I looked at the machine and smoke was coming out of the top. Smelled like electrical insulation.Sent helper to shop for spare machine and finished up. Any bets that repair bill will be more than I made on the gate? Oh well, I've made a load of money with that machine, so I shouldn't complain. Any guesses what might have gone wrong?
Reply:Factory installed smoke leaked out.

Reply:No telling but it doesn't sound good Bob. I didn't even see any smoke when my LN-25 fried but could smell it. A thousand bucks later it was better than new and has already more than paid for the repair. Got the same smell out of the Hefty when it went. The good news is it only cost 17 bucks to repair, and that's only because the part came from Miller, LOL.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.
