Reply:Godaddy.com is a domain registrar. You can purchase your domain through them. I guess they may actually do web hosting too. Being able to have someone google and find you is much more difficult. Your content needs to change often, be accurate, and must have good design (generally) in order to show up on the first page or two of results. Some people pay big bucks to get ranked higher. If you don't use things like flash (at least for the menus/navigation), you are more likely to get a higher ranking too.The Lord has declared, "This is my work and my glory--to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man" Moses 1:39Link: My name is John, and I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.-- ColdCreekWorks.com --

Reply:I use DreamHost (www.DreamHost.com) as my host and registrar. I have unlimited storage and bandwidth and my domain name is included 'free' for $8.95 per month. No offence intended, but if you're going to put up a web page, I'd urge you to get someone a decent grasp of written English to proofread/edit. Frankly, most of what I've seen you write is, at best, difficult to read and/or nearly incomprehensible. (Your posts often look like something written by a dyslexic e e cummings...)As far as showing up in local results for Google searches watch the video here: http://www.google.com/lbcVisit Tensaiteki.com
Reply:I got lucky when I had mine done. My sister is a computer whiz. She does some side programming jobs for a company that registers domain names and also has server space. Every thing was free. [Good sister] You can google making a website and there is lots of sites that will walk you through it. You need to buy your domain name and also pay monthly for your server space, the more you have the more it costs monthly. I have so many pictures that mine would cost a lot if I had to pay.You can check mine out at www.dracometalworks.com

Reply:Actually, posting links on sites like this one, back to your website, helps improve google rankings too.The Lord has declared, "This is my work and my glory--to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man" Moses 1:39Link: My name is John, and I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.-- ColdCreekWorks.com --
Reply:If you have the money to invest it might be easiest to pay someone to get everything going and get submitted to several of the big search engines. I started off doing everything myself and I am now working with a local lady (but she does work nation wide) to get things fixed up so I am found by the search engines. Reply:I just built a site last week for this very purpose. I wanted to meet other people who can teach me a thing or two. http://www.nwmwg.com (northwest metalworkers group). I made it regional just because I'd love to help out or meet a few people doing projects.I did it with iPage for about $4.00 a month. I used joomla to build the overall format. Pretty painless stuff.Sean
