Spoolmatic 30 A question. We are having trouble with the thumb nut tightening device that holds the spool in tension. All of a sudden we are unable to place tension on the spool and from the schematic it is impossible to tell if we are missing a part. There is still the long rubber section and the thumb screw but this does not tighten up the tension. Any thoughts?Roger

Reply:Hello Columbik Sculpture, check pages 18 and 20 of the manual that I have linked here. It shows the parts you are questioning. and also lists them by name on the other page. Essentially there is a post that has a spacer, rubber expansion sleeve, anti-rotational sleeve and a thumb nut to tension the spool by causing the rubber to expand when the thumb nut is tightened. Hope this helps out. Best regards, Allanhttp://www.millerwelds.com/om/o1213ag_mil.pdfaevald |
