Fellow in Portland OR has 36 44lb spools of esab spoolarc 83 in .035 for sale. Wants 75 bucks a box. Never used it, price seems ok. Whats it like? Boxes appear new, not stored outside. Reply:I don't pay that much at my LWS for .035 Lincoln.  That would be 3/4 ton of wire.David.  Real world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:Thanks David; according to airgas site it retails for 3.58lb. My local airgas discounts to me but havent tried em on that yet. Yeah guy must have got a pallet at auction or something, its on Portland OR craigs. I realliy dont need it but cant see wire going down in price anytime soon. My calc for the ask price is 1.70 or about 1/2. 50 per box? that would be a touch over buck a pound. Reply:For Thermal Arc ER70S-6, I pay $31 for a 33 lb spool.  .035 is a little more.Take it from there.  DavidReal world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:I have used their dual shielded wire in a 5/64 wire size and it burns awesome even on some older PS.  and for 75 buxks I would buy as much as you can afford!!!
