I am going to build a black iron sq rod table and will be needing to heat a twist the sq rod. My question? Has anyone done this and possible have a few pictures and how do it posted anywhere on this site? I have been looking and cant find any as of yet.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Reply:I'm thinking that cold twisting is going to be fairly even, whereby heating can be uneven if not heated evenly the entire length. Just my take on it.
Reply:Trapperjohn is right. Cold = even twists. Friend has something similar he made using a gear reduction box and reversible motor. I'll twist 3/4" solid. Twist baskets too. Was going to build one but I think he's moving back to town. 200amp Air Liquide MIG, Hypertherm Plasma, Harris torches, Optrel helmet, Makita angle grinders, Pre-China Delta chop saw and belt sander, Miller leathers, shop made jigs etc, North- welders backpack.
