Reply:Well Jim "Puppet" DiTullio is the guy that owns Race Visions and the gentleman that I worked for. Jim McClure was our best customer, He bought a bike every year. We made bikes for many of the Top Fuel Harley guys, along with some Funny Bikes and the sort. Pup isn't in too good shape these days, but his work is second to none, and the aluminum welding can be picked out any day of the week, its that good. That bike wasn't the latest stuff pup made before he got ill. The seat is straight back. In 98' or so pup started adding a bump to the seat, along with other stuff to keep the copy cats workin hard. Seems alot of guys that copy bikes can't knock tin, and just like making box's. Pup hand hammered all the radius's into those bikes. Its something to see. I learned more about race fab in that shop that you can imagine.Last edited by n20junkie; 04-18-2010 at 11:01 PM.Syncrowave 350Coolmate 3Millermatic 251Spoolmatic 30A

Reply:N2Ojunkie...........i'll try to get some more info. on it later......i was thinkn' of makin fiberglass molds of these parts when i first gottm'.......not enough time though....and if they're not NEWER parts like you said ..then it would'nt of been worth it to me anyways.yeah , i heard the "puppet" was a character.seeyaworld. thermal arc 252i - millermatic 350P - miller XMT, cp300ts, 30a 22a feeders, buttload of other millers, handfull of lincolns, couple of esabs - Hypertherm 1250 G3
Reply:No I promise you that there not that new. There used to be a few people that had copied pups stuff and were making it from glass. The very sharp almost high frequency vibrations seem to do a number on the glass bodies. Its why aluminum is still so pouplar.Syncrowave 350Coolmate 3Millermatic 251Spoolmatic 30A
Reply:N20Junkie.......you were right...he said the chassis is a "puppet" , so as u thought , the 2 alluminum pieces maybe puppets also......the tail fairing was definately fiberglass........he said the bike is six years old and he also stated puppet as an icon. the owner is bill flaherty , owner of Artistic Metal Fab. here in texas. thermal arc 252i - millermatic 350P - miller XMT, cp300ts, 30a 22a feeders, buttload of other millers, handfull of lincolns, couple of esabs - Hypertherm 1250 G3 |
