i think im gettin a nicer bead-- 6011 3/32 , 78 amps ac , most of t his is vertical up on some 3/8 ms scrap. a little got horizontal and vertical down, which actually came out a lot smoother profile than the up which i weave and it gets lumpy.. Attached Images
Reply:Looks like you got some of these pieces pretty hot given some of the excavating that happened. I would start with some T joints in the flat position and work from there. After those look OK then move on to V up welds. I would say try not to let the puddle cool to much or come to far out of the puddle. Don't want to trap slag or cold lap. Keep working though it will get better. Do some flat T joints...fillets...and post those.'Mike
Reply:Put the piece at a comfortable level and brace your body. Looks like you need to work on your fine motor skills, because the welds are skippy and wandering looking.A 6011 tends to dig a bit more than other rods. Try a 6013, or a 7014 for flat, easy work to train.Esab Migmaster 250Lincoln SA 200Lincoln Ranger 8Smith Oxy Fuel setupEverlast PowerPlasma 80Everlast Power iMIG 160Everlast Power iMIG 205 Everlast Power iMIG 140EEverlast PowerARC 300Everlast PowerARC 140STEverlast PowerTIG 255EXT |
