looking to buy...??

hello, i am not only a newbie to this site but a newbie welder as well. with that said, i am looking to purchase a tig machine. before i make a decision i would like to ask the experts a dumb question. my shop has a 200 amp single phase panel box. so, i at this point am trying to decide on either a miller dynasty 200 or a syncrwave 250. either choice would be set-up with a foot pedal and a h2o cooled torch.    does the power source affect either of these machines performance hugely ?  i mostly do sheetmetal and thin walled tubing backpurged. i am new to this world so please be kind    can't wait to pick one seems like pricing is somewhat close. thank you for your time.
Reply:If price is about equal, then it really boils down to a couple different things. Power consumption: The Dynasty runs on 30A, 220VAC. The Synchro needs 80A, 220VAC.  Size- Dynasty, 37lb. Synchro, 237lb. Dynasty-16" highx14widex24deep. Synchro250-3ft high, 3ft wide, 2ft deep. And, the features. The inverter is infinitely adjustable, the synchro will be adjustable, but not to the same degree. Also, the synchro may not be set up with pulse, the Dynasty has it standard.And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.
Reply:thanks... now i guess i can make a choice between the two. i did get a price with the pulse option on the 250.              been saving my pennies for years now, does anyone have pros/cons to these two choices now that i'm pretty sure i can run either with my current power source.              thanks for the time.
