any body try to install a 14 pin plug on a sa 200. I have a 30amp spool gun in shop but would like to use on portable. the gun uses only 3 pins ,instead of buying new portable miller welder.::
Reply:You are going to need a lot more than just the connector to run a CV powered spoolgun from a CC power source. They have made some spoolguns in the past designed to run from older CC power sources, but they don't run anywhere near like a spoolgun does from a CV machine. Most don't end up getting the results they expect after spending a bunch of money on something like this..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size.
