Pictures below show what happens when mig finds flame spray metalizing!!I've been doing these forever and never seen one sprayed here (still no excuse for not checking for coatings).After the welding machine complained all I could do was turn it up and hope to remove it later, (there's long odds against saving though).Here is a link that shows where the toolholder goes on the machine and what it does (these things get rode hard and put up wet). Reply:As cheap as tamping tools can be bought new I would think that it would not be be cost effective to repair them.Still very interesting thank you for sharing.
