Just looking around at the different types of tig torches there are after I have already ordered a WeldTec 20-25'R and just saw how CK's line uses brass inside the head instead of copper to reduce the abuse the thread see. I also took note of their water passage design that looks like it outflow the rest. I am confused though about the differences between their STANDARD series and their MASTER series,anyone have any ideas? their both the 20 water cooled torches that measure, weigh and have 250 amp ability............ whats the difference? I know that the master series torch is ~$10 more but what justifies that extra $10..... just not making sense.Also anyone ever use the *230*series rated for a whopping 300A? is the added amperage rating worth the added length/weight?like I said I have already ordered the weldtec torch but thought what the hell and just order a back up CK WorldWide body for "just in case" purposes.... lolthanks SQUARE WAVE 175 TIG   DUAL MIG 151

Reply:I use a 150 amp CK Flexlock air/gas cooled tig torch on my 250 amp Idealarc welder.I have been very pleased with this torch's performance and longevity. Reply:Everything was fine with the torch that came with the welder (LA-9 magnum) till I started to weld Aluminum, didn't take long for the torch to get hot and rubber was steaming so I figured I should upgrade it to a water cooled. The 9 series torches look to be rated @ 150 amps and the machine does 175 so pushing the limits with the Aluminum welding I believe. I ordered the CK 230 that I mentioned and have a Bernard 3500ss water cooler on the way as well, I know it's overkill bit couldn't beat the price. I almost was gonna build one but after compiling the cost of building a "proper" cooler, it was cheaper to buy the used Bernard. SQUARE WAVE 175 TIG   DUAL MIG 151
Reply:I called CK Worldwide to see what they had to say about the difference between the standard series and their Master but all their Tec's were buisy so I sent an email and this is what I gotThanks for the interest in our TIG Torches!The Standard TIG Torch line is made up of the Original Linde design whereas the Master TIG line is made up of Original Linde designs with added CK features, put simply.In the case of the CK20 vs. the CK200, torch heads (bodies) are the same. However, ordered as a 12.5ft or 25' Torch package, the #CK20-25 has three separate hoses whereas the #CK225 has bonded tri-flex hoses that are glued together to minimize tangles.In the case of the CK230, this Torch is proprietary hence it certainly falls under the Master TIG label. The power cable is larger (10 ga.) @ 300A @100% duty vs. 250A @100% duty (12 ga). Reply:Apparently he's never been to their site because it says you can get both Master or standard series torches with the superflex cables or standard (I'm assuming standard is "triflex") cables. lol, also he said that the 20 (standard) and 200 (master) torch bodies are the same thing but the prices are different?
