Rebars Vs Steel deck ?

Drawings i have at works have rebars when it come to steel staircases with pan pour with concrete and same for the landing, but from 1 years the landing of some staircase is make with steel deck as the rebars were, why is it designed like this ?Calculator > Bevel Square

Reply:If I am translating your message correctly your asking why are some decks a poured deck and some just steel plate?probably most go to the personal preference, and the desired look of the designer wants to achieve, some could be noise transmission or creation,  plate would act some like a drum head and amplify the sound, where a deck of concrete would absorb the foot steps and lower the sound produced, and some could be to create a feel of security, and rudeness,  I think a deck of concrete would give a solid feel than steel deck,
Reply:structurally, decking is a lot stiffer for the same amount of steel and requires less concrete to fill, overall it makes the assembly cheaper without losing any strength. As for the rebar we usually see it over decking when pouring elevated slabs and stoop slabs, very rarely do we use it in pan-fill stairs
